Samsara is an approved Telematics Service Provider for the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) Continuous Testing Program (CTP). The Samsara integration with BAR CTP helps eligible and approved government fleets bypass in-person smog emissions testing in California by capturing vehicle diagnostic data from Samsara Vehicle Gateways.

BAR built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact BAR Support.

File the application with BAR to participate in the Continuous Testing Program.

Reach out to your Samsara Sales Representative so they can enable the BAR CTP integration for your dashboard.

In your Samsara dashboard, navigate to Settings > Apps.

Search for and then select
BARto download the BAR CTP application and complete the steps in the enrollment guide. -
After the enrollment process is complete, navigate to the Not Enrolled tab to view eligible and in-eligible vehicles in your fleet.

Enroll vehicles by bulk enrollment or individual enrollment to participate in the BAR CTP integration.
Vehicles that are successfully enrolled will be visible in the Enrolled tab.
