Integrate with Digital Permit Book

Connect Samsara to Digital Permit Book’s all-in-one platform for compliance.

The integration includes the following features:

Sync drivers, vehicles, and trailers to set the baseline for what needs to be documented in your Digital Permit Book dashboard
Automatically sync driver-vehicle assignments and trailer assignments
Keep vehicle and driver lists current with webhooks setup, and re-sync trailer list at any time

Digital Permit Book: None
Samsara: API access with Read permissions

Deployment

Digital Permit Book built the integration and will assist with deployments as needed. Follow the steps below to get started. If there are any issues, please contact Digital Permit Book Support.

Log in to your Digital Permit Book dashboard.
Navigate to Company > Integrations and select Samsara.
Click to activate Samsara.
When prompted, grant data access for Digital Permit Book.
For Vehicles, Trailers, and Drivers, follow the steps to enable Digital Permit Book to sync data.

If additional trailers are added later, you can re-sync trailers.
Set up a webhook to enable Samsara to sync vehicle and driver information.
1. If you don't already have webhooks enabled, go to Settings > Feature Management and enable [Beta] Event Subscription Webhooks.
2. Go to Settings > Webhooks.
3. Confirm you see Event Subscriptions, and select VehicleCreated, VehicleUpdated, DriverCreated, and DriverUpdated.
4. Name the webhook Digital Permit Book and use the following Payload URL: https://api.digitalpermitbook.com/integration/samsara_webhook/
