Set up Student ID Cards in the Samsara Dashboard

Before you begin, Install an ID Card Reader in the vehicles for which you want students to use ID cards.

Select the Settings icon ( ) at the bottom of your Fleet menu to view dashboard settings.

Select Student ID Cards.

Select Add Student ID Card at the top right-hand corner of the dashboard.

Enter the student information when prompted.

Under Card Code, enter the number printed on the physical ID card (you can omit the leading 0), and Save the student profile. The student now has has a personal ID Card.

After your students begin using their ID cards, you can view the Rides Report for detailed activity logs.
