To accurately report and track your Hours of Service in accordance with ELD rules, you must sign in and select your vehicle before you can begin your work day.
For drivers in Canada, if you begin driving without first logging in, the Samsara Driver App will display a prompt to alert you to stop the vehicle and sign in. To display the prompt, ensure the following actions are true:

Your Samsara Driver App is actively open on your device.

Your device is connected to the Vehicle Gateway hotspot.
After the vehicle is stopped, click OK to dismiss the prompt.
To sign in to the app, perform the following workflow:

Obtain your Fleet ID, username, and password from your Fleet administrator and record this information in a safe place.
If you previously received login details but forgot your password, you can Reset your Samsara Driver App Password.

If you have not already done so, download the Samsara Driver App from the app store for the device.

Tap the icon to open the Samsara Driver App.

Enter your Fleet ID, username, and password, and then tap Sign In.

Select your vehicle from the list. Contact your admin if you're unsure of which vehicle to select.
Attempts to continue without a vehicle selection will result in a No Vehicle Selected alert on your Driver App dashboard.

Tap Done to confirm your vehicle selection.

At the end of your shift, ensure you Sign Out.
