After drivers submit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) using the Samsara Driver App, any defects that have not been addressed by the mechanic are listed as unresolved in the Defects report. Mechanics can resolve a defect in a DVIR as they complete work on the vehicle.
To view and resolve defects for each vehicle:
From the Samsara dashboard , select Maintenance () > DVIR.
Hover over an asset and choose Last DVIR.
Under Resolve Defects, select one or more defects to mark as resolved.
(Optional) You can + Add mechanic note to provide additional details on defects.
When all defects are marked as resolved, the signature of the mechanic will display in the report.
