Samsara uses the diagnostics from your electric vehicles (EVs) enable to provide visibility into the energy consumption, efficiency, and usage of EVs in your fleet.
Samsara uses the following diagnostic information:
State of Charge (SOC)
Energy usage (includes regenerated energy)
Charging status (i.e. vehicle is charging or not)
Charging energy (alternatively, voltage and current while vehicle is charging)
EV miles driven (folded into standard reporting)
Note that this is not a standardized PID across MMYs. Real-Time State of Charge View current and historical state of charge on the fleet overview page to help inform fleet operations and dispatching decisions. State of charge will only be visible if an org has an EV or PHEV in their fleet.
Why am I not seeing any information for my Nissan Leafs?
Samsara EV features rely on VIN classification. You may need to manually type your VIN into the dashboard for Samsara's Vehicle Gateways to properly operate.

Why am I not seeing state of charge information for my vehicles, even though this states that this vehicle should be supported?
Samsara is gradually rolling out all features to customers. We expect to complete this rollout by the week of Feb 20, 2020.
If you have not driven since February 6, 2020, we may not have yet connected to your vehicle. On your next drive, you should see information flowing in for these vehicle types as part of the latest over-the-air firmware release.
