Route stop workflows introduces a new trigger to Samsara's Workflow Builder feature. Admins can create a customizable set of tasks for drivers to complete in the Samsara Driver App when they arrive at a route stop.
Setting up a workflow
Navigate to the workflows page on cloud.samsara.com by going to Settings --> Driver App --> Workflows. By clicking into Create Workflow in the Stop Arrival section, a workflow can be created either from a template, or by starting from scratch. For more details on how to edit a workflow, see the Workflow Builder page of this Knowledge Base.
Once a workflow has been published, it will be presented to all drivers at all route stops on arrival.
NB: individual steps cannot be marked as 'required' in a route stop workflow. This is to ensure that drivers can still view other information in the app when they have arrived at a route stop.
Driver App View
When a driver arrives at a route stop, they only need to 'follow the blue lightning bolt' to be stepped through all their assigned tasks.
When a driver automatically arrives at a route stop, they will be presented with a route stop arrival notification which will include a prompt to start their workflow. By tapping the blue button seen below, drivers will be stepped through the tasks as part of the customized workflow.
When a driver manually arrives at a route stop they will see a landing page that looks like the one below. From this page, they will be able to start their workflow by tapping the blue button at the bottom of the page.
