In addition to the standard report options, you can create a report to view specific data customized to your fleet. You can choose to export the report immediately or save the template to schedule future reports. The data sets that you can choose from to create your report depend on the type of report that you want to customize:
Driver Custom Report: Driver-specific information and attributes such safety and risk related behaviors, compliance data, and fuel-related driving habits.
Vehicle & Asset Custom Report: Vehicle and device data such as odometer readings, camera status, and submitted DVIRs.
When you create a custom report, you choose the specific fields, field names, field order, and any applied tags or attributes. To create custom reports, you must be a Full Admin or have a custom role with permission to create custom reports.
From the Samsara dashboard, select Reports () > Custom Reports.
Create Custom Report.
Choose the report type, Driver or Vehicle & Asset.
Choose the fields you want to use as columns in your report. To find a specific field, explore the field categories or use the search. When done, select Next.
Format your report:
Enter a descriptive Report Name.
(Optional) Drag and drop the fields into your preferred order.
(Optional) Rename any fields for which you want to provide a custom name.
(Optional) Choose any tags to filter your report results.
Choose a date range for the report, up to 90 days in length.
Save the custom report.
At any time, you can return to the Custom Reports page to view it. You can also perform the following actions from more options (...):
Export the custom report
Schedule Custom Report
Edit Saved Report
