The Vehicle Safety Report page will provide you with a graphical representation of harsh event data, which tracks driver safety trends and improvements over time. You can use these graphs to identify risky driving practices and measure changes in safety culture over time.
View the Trends graph by navigating from Safety > Safety Report. You will see the graph located on the right side of the Vehicle Safety Report page.
The graph will default to displaying the last 8 weeks of data, broken up week over week, as shown below.
There are three different view options that can be toggled from the top of the graph:
- Harsh Event Rate: total harsh events over 1,000 miles
- Harsh Event Count: number of harsh events that occurred
- Speeding: % of time spent over the speed limit
- Note that there is a 5 mph grace threshold with speed limits. This will be excluded from the Speeding % in the Speeding Trends view)
You can view data for specific tags, by selecting a tag from the Tags dropdown at the top right of the graph.
Additionally, the Harsh Event Rate and Harsh Event Count graphs can be broken into the following components to get a better idea of what actions are influencing the overall rate and count.
- Harsh Acceleration
- Harsh Brake
- Harsh Turn
- Rolling Stop Rate
