Installing your Site Gateway (SG1) Written by Chase Ayers Updated May 05, 2020 04:13 Follow Unboxing your Site Gateway (SG1) The Serial Number will be located on the box as well as the SG1. Here are an examples of the serial number: Box: SG01: Verify all components are included: (1) Site Gateway (1) Power Cable (1) 3 foot ethernet cable (1) Sata Cable (1) USB 2.0 A-Male to Micro B (1) Bag spare parts (2) Wall Mounting Rails (2) HDD → SSD Rails Power and Network the Site Gateway Plug in the power chord to 110-120V AC. Plug the SG1 into the switch or modem that has access to the Internet. The gateway is defaulted to DHCP and will discover your network. If your network does not have a DHCP server, please contact Samsara Support at firstname.lastname@example.org *Ports 443 and 22 need to be forwarded. Power the SG1. It may take a couple minutes to boot. If connected properly, the power light should be Green and the Data light should be Blue Activate SG1 You can Activate the Site Gateway by following the steps in this Knowledge Base article. Verify Site Gateway is Online After activation, in the Settings > Gateways page you will find your newly activated SG1. Please allow a few minutes and refresh the screen for the dashboard to recognize the SG1's status.
