When a Safety Manager is assigned to a harsh event, the person assigned as Safety Manager will receive an email notification.
There is no configuration needed for this. An Administrator can simply assign a Safety Manager to a specific harsh event, and an email will be automatically sent to them.
How to Assign a Safety Manager to a Harsh Event
Please navigate to the Dashboard and click on Fleet > Reports > Safety Inbox.
Then select a harsh event.
Then click the dropdown menu next to Safety Manager and select the Fleet Administrator who you'd like to assign to the harsh event as a Safety Manager.
What the Email Notification Will Contain
When a user is assigned as a Safety Manager to a harsh event, an automatic email notification will be sent. The email will contain the subject line "Action needed: Review harsh event" and a body that says "Hello, You’ve been assigned as Safety Manager for a harsh event. Please review this video [link]".
- An email won't trigger if you assign yourself to a harsh event.
- Safety Managers will receive one email per harsh event that they are assigned to.
- Org admins can turn these email notifications off for their organization using the toggle on the Settings --> Cameras & Safety page.
