Customers can use the Safety Manager option to assign a dashboard administrator to a Harsh Event. This helps organize who should take the appropriate next steps with the driver, such as proceeding with coaching or reviewing the event.
Safety Manager List
Full Org and Tag admins will show up in the Safety Manager drop down list. If you are setting up a custom role for Safety Managers, there are 4 required permissions to ensure the users appear in the Safety Manager drop down:
- Under Essentials > Reports/General: (1) View reports page, trip history, time on site, and equipment report
- Under Safety > Inbox and Report: (2) View and (3) Edit safety events (add labels on events, add safety managers, and add comments)
- Under Settings > Additional Admin Settings: (4) View general setting.
Users with Read-only permissions will not show up in the Safety Manager drop down list.
How to use it
To assign a Safety Manager, open a Harsh Event by navigating to Fleet > Reports > Safety Inbox. Click on a harsh event from the results.
Scroll down on the harsh event page. Below the incident graph you'll find the Safety Manager field, where you can use the drop-down to choose a safety manager from your dashboard admins.
The Safety Manager will now be displayed next to each event in the Safety Inbox, and you can filter or sort your Inbox based on Safety Manager assignments.
