What is an inspection result and what is the result of a step?
- The Result of a Step is the result of a single step of a greater inspection overall. This step could be a color match, barcode check, etc. and will output in a reject, no read or pass.
- The overall Inspection Result will combine multiple steps together and validate them to produce a final result. Some inspections may just have a single step, others may have many steps. The overall inspection result follows the logic below depending on if it is a general inspection, configured to end early or a boolean logic inspection.
How an overall inspection's result is determined based on its individual step results:
All general inspections with multiple steps follow the logic below:
- If there is a Reject - the entire inspection is a Reject
- If there is no Reject, but there is a No Read - the entire inspection is a No Read
- If there is no Reject & no No Read - the entire inspection is a Pass
What happens if an inspection is ended early:
- If an inspection is configured to end early after a specific step, it will follow the logic above for all steps included above the end early step.
Using Boolean Logic as a final step to determine an inspection result
- The final Boolean logic step will take precedence unless there is a step before that is configured to end early as mentioned above.

- We will retain data for a year by default, image data for a year
- Run results, statistics etc. will last for the duration of the license - match the KB article from fleet here
- By default we will keep a picture of every reject, and a sample of the passes - we will keep 10% of passes in the cloud
- In the future we will be able to assist you in configuring upload rate specific to a program you are running
