Safety Trends is a graphical representation of harsh event data. This feature can be used to track safety trends and improvements over time. Administrators can also use the graphs to identify risky driving practices and measure changes in safety culture over time with safety trend reports.
View the Safety Trends Graph by navigating from Reports > Safety Report and you'll see the graph located on the right side of the Safety Report page.
The graph will default to displaying the last 8 weeks over data, broken up week over week, as shown below.
Also, note that you can view data for specific tags, too, but selecting a tag at the top right of the graph.
There are three different view options that can be toggled from the top of the graph:
- Harsh event rate = Total harsh events over 1,000 miles.
- Harsh event count = number of harsh events that occurred
- Speeding = % of time spent over the speed limit (excluding the 5mph grace threshold)
Additionally, the Harsh Event Rate and Harsh Event Count graphs can be broken into the following components to better get an idea of what's driving the overall rate and count.
- Harsh Acceleration
- Harsh Brake
- Harsh Turn
