The fleet overview map clustering feature gives users the ability to quickly see aggregate fleet scale & utilization data. The feature improves fleet overview map readability and performance, especially for large fleet sizes.
Depending on your zoom level, vehicles and assets near one another are aggregated into one cluster that displays the total count in the region. By mousing over a cluster, a tooltip appears to show a more detailed breakdown of total vehicles and assets in the region, as well as a breakdown by online and offline statuses.
If you're not sure what the mouse over modal icons indicate, the Map Legend is accessible by pressing the "i" button in the upper right hand corner of the map. Green arrows indicate total count of moving vehicles, green circles indicate online vehicles not in motion, and green squares indicate online assets. Black circles and squares indicate inactive vehicles and assets, respectively.
Clicking on a cluster will zoom in to the region to show you more detail, down to individual vehicle-level movement.
By default, we enable clustering when there are more than 500 vehicles/assets in your current map view. Once you have zoomed in such that there are <500 vehicles in the map view, the vehicles would automatically de-cluster (if you have unselected clustering from the Map Options). Similarly, if you zoom out, the vehicles will automatically cluster once the number of vehicles in the viewport are more than 500.
