Drivers who frequently cross US-Canada and the 60N parallel in Canada can now preview their compliance with regulations before they cross the border.
Preview HOS Compliance in Another Jurisdiction
Samsara's HOS system automatically transitions a driver's ruleset and HOS notifications between US and Canada based on their vehicle's location.
When a driver is about enter a new jurisdiction, for example from Canada to the US, they may need to preview their compliance with the US 11-hour rule first to avoid problems (vs. the Canadian 13 hour driving rule).
Using the Border Check feature, drivers can detect violation risks early and plan their day by selecting a different ruleset in the app.
Enabling Border Check
