Samsara supports the ability to create preventative maintenance schedule and alerts so you can better manage your preventative maintenance schedule. This article will show you how to create your Maintenance Schedule and alerts in your Samsara Dashboard.
To navigate to the maintenance schedule select Maintenance > Schedule.
To add a preventative task, select +Add a schedule button.
A pop-up box will appear. Insert a title, description, and select the interval (mileage, days or engine hours) between maintenance.
Apply the schedule for a vehicle(s) or an asset(s) by using the search or Add vehicle/assets drop-down.
You will now be able to see all of the scheduled maintenance tasks, intervals, and amount of configured vehicles. You can sort by maintenance type, interval, amount of configured vehicles.
To edit a scheduled maintenance task, select click the Edit button.
How to create an alert for your Preventative Maintenance Schedule:
1. Once you have created your Preventative Maintenance schedule, navigate to Alerts > Configure > Scheduled Maintenance
2. Choose to be alerted for certain preventative maintenance items, as well as how many days in advance you would like to receive the alert. Select the contact(s) that should be alerted and an optional description. Once you're ready to finalize your alert, select Save.
3. Once you’ve created the alert, it will appear on the left side of the page. You can turn the alert on or off by toggling the switch. If you want to edit the alert, click on the alert and edit accordingly.
